Invited to join are all those who take interest in Paul Celan’s legacy. The webinar will be focused on Paul Celan’s poetry showing the Holocaust tragedy as a tragedy of humanity. Also explored will be the dramatic situation in Chernivtsi during World War II, and specifically, the poet’s personal tragedy.
Upon completion of the webinar, the people involved will be proposed to write a personal letter to a friend on behalf of a man who has experienced tragic events in his life, and thus to identify with the poet’s drama and the drama of the genocide, or to express their solidarity in a letter or in any other form. Selected letters will be published in a special edition. The webinar is to be held in the following languages: Ukrainian, German, Russian.
